In order to analyse the user group and the connection between the collection, we created some visual diagrams to brainstorm some ideas, how you could use the collection in the most attractive way to the creatures of the night
We then started to map out the collection and deal with it to find out what would interest the creatures of the night. An important aspect is that although we don't want to make our research/interfaces all about corona, we did keep this in the back of the mind. We realized then that the safe places of our user group (mostly people in their 20s in the queer spectrum) have been taken away from them, as nightclubs haven't opened for more than a year now. This made us realize that first of all, the user lost their safe place and also that after some time socializing in parks can become boring.
This is the website of our collection, as you can see this looks very overwhelming and you don't really know where to start as a user. In addition, the website can apparently be also in English but this function does not work.
We did see a connection between the so-called "removed" artworks and the creatures of the night who's places have also been removed temporarily.
It didn't make sense to take a look at every single artwork, so we thought we had to find out where are the places where the Creatures of the Night hang out? These two pictures map out different clubs and bars throughout Rotterdam and we can see where the hotspots are. By doing this we knew on what areas to focus
So if we overlay both maps we get these squiggly forms that show where the club/bars are and also the artworks in the public space.
We decided as a group to focus(or at least start) on the category of the removed artworks since they share the same story as the creatures of the night right now.
Moreover, we realized that most of the artworks falling into this category have either disappeared/stolen, been damaged by nature or put away in storage rooms. This could make it easier to work with them as they are not actively being used. So next you can read our analysis of those artworks and how we could see them in the nightlife.

WE EACH CREATED A FEW USER STORIES AND MERGED THEM TOGETHER INTO DIFFERENT SCENARIOS. THIS WILL HELP US TO PUT OURSELVES IN THEIR POSITION TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT IS THE MOST ATTRACTIVE TO THEM.
We realised that there is a category for "removed" artworks, we saw an immediate connection to our user group, as they have also been removed from their safe places(clubs, bars,..). That's why we took a look at each to see how/if we could connect to them to the creatures of the night.
